Jill & George Mure established Mures Fish House in 1973 in Battery Point, Hobart. When they struggled to source quality, fresh, local seafood, George went fishing.

50 years on, and now owned by Will & Judy Mure, Mures Tasmania remains a vertically integrated Tasmanian business, passionate about providing fresh, local, sustainable seafood from hook to plate.

Mures Tasmania currently incorporates a 76 foot long lining vessel, Diana (named after Will’s Grandmother), Selkie our smaller rod and reel vessel, a processing factory, a range of gourmet seafood products distributed nationally, George Mure wine range, and three seafood restaurants on Hobart’s waterfront, Victoria Dock.
